This course allows you to gain detailed academic knowledge and an in-depth understanding of horse management and business through theory-based and practical sessions. You'll complete a four-week block in the industry in both years to gain first hand commercial experience. You'll also be engaged in weekend show duties. Our students have gone on to some fantastic careers in a wide range of industries and enjoyed some exceptional work placements all over the world, helping them open doors to their dream careers.

If you're passionate about equine science and want to learn about the structure, diet, behaviour and rehabilitation of horses, then this course is ideal for you. You'll develop a strong scientific knowledge base as you study three core science modules on this course. You'll gain an academic understanding of equine science and hone your applied skills during a four-week block of external work experience during each year of your course.
If you’re looking for a career in the fitness industry or hoping to progress onto a higher education sports degree, then this two-year course provides an excellent foundation for your development towards your goals. You'll learn through a mix of theory-based and practical sessions including a mixture of fitness, instructing and sports science-based modules. In your first year, you will also complete your YMCA Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructing.
Gain a grounding in all aspects of sport, with emphasis on performance and excellence in football. Develop your knowledge of football training techniques for a range of players, from children to professionals. You’ll examine your own game to ensure you improve as a player.
Develop your understanding of the world of professional golfers and improve your golfing performance. You’ll learn through classroom based and practical sessions, and spend one day a week participating in practical golf sessions at a local golf course. Benefit from access to a golf driving range on campus, swing studio, artificial putting green, and bunkered short game area, as well as specialist coaching. To study this course you must have an official golf handicap.
