Our Open Days provide a fantastic opportunity for you to discover more about a subject you're passionate about. Experience why Hartpury is the place for you and take the first step towards your future.
Our experienced and qualified Innovation, Careers and Enterprise Centre (ICE) team provides professional, work and skills based workshops, careers advice and guidance. The team can also provide employability and enterprise support as well as offering help with finding placements.
Whether you want to enhance your employability skills, talk through career options, sharpen up your CV, write a covering letter or practice your interview skills, we can help.
We design complementary opportunities for our students through social, volunteering and optional learning activities that support them in making a real impact within their community and gaining experience. These real experiences support our graduates to recognise how they can make a positive contribution to society, now and in the future.
Throughout our proud history, Hartpury has encouraged its students to actively gain employability skills and has held graduate attributes at its heart.
Our students are highly employable; 97% of our graduates are in employment, further study or other purposeful activity within 15 months (Graduate Outcomes, 2024). They recognise the value in what they do and are able to make positive contributions to society. Our experienced and qualified Careers Consultants support students throughout their studies with group and 1:1 career, education information, advice and guidance.
These sessions equip students with the abilities and knowledge to map their future, building up their career and life credentials and evidencing them, to ensure they are day-one-ready for their dream career.
Previous students have developed their employability skills set to include:
Hartpury’s Innovation, Careers and Enterprise department helps students by supporting them to develop entrepreneurial skills and mindset. The services offered can help students to kickstart their own business or signpost them to our specialist business partners to give additional support.
We offer a service where students will meet the Enterprise Team, who can listen to their business plans and help them network with business contacts to assist in making their business idea come true or signpost to add more business capability to your skillset.
Hartpury is the perfect place to start-up your business, and why wait until you have left to begin? ICE has an Enterprise office space which is physical working space available for students to begin operating their business, in combination with a host of eager external business contacts who are looking forward to working with students.

We hold a database of 3,000 local and national businesses offering work placement opportunities. Voluntary charity and part-time on-site working opportunities are sometimes available too. Every Hartpury University student is assigned a Placement Tutor, who acts as a central contact throughout any work placements. Students can also meet with our placements team at any time.
