We understand that moving to, and studying in, a different country can be a daunting experience. On this page, you'll find information to support you on your journey to Hartpury and settling into your new life as part of the Hartpury family when you get here.

Once you’ve accepted your offer, received your CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance of Studies) and applied for, and received your Student visa, you can now start to plan your arrival to Hartpury.

1. Book your flights

The closet airports to Hartpury are Birmingham International (BHX) and Bristol (BRS), both only an hour away.

London’s airports; Heathrow (LHR), Gatwick (LGW), Stansted (STN) and Luton (LTN) are all less than 3 hours travel to Hartpury.

However you choose to arrive in the UK, all five airports have rail links to Gloucester. Hartpury is just a short bus or taxi journey from the train station. Alternatively, you can book your airport collection below.

To ensure we are fully aware are prepared for when you’ll arrive at Hartpury, complete the international student arrivals information form to confirm your travel and arrival details.

3. Book your airport collection

International airport transfers

If you’re a new student living outside the UK, you could be eligible for free airport collection. This means we’ll collect you from the airport at the start of the academic year and take you to the airport at end of the academic year, too.

To be eligible for international airport transfers, you will need to meet the following criteria:

  • Be a new student living outside the UK, starting your first year at Hartpury
  • Living in Hartpury-managed accommodation
  • Travelling to the UK unaccompanied
  • Travelling at the start and end  of your first academic year

All-inclusive package – airport transfers

If you’ve booked the international all-inclusive package, you can book airport transfers at the start and end of the academic year, as well as during the Christmas and Easter break.

The all-inclusive is available to:

  • First year Hartpury University undergraduate students
  • First year and returning Hartpury College students

Important information for all airport transfers:

  • All airport transfers must be booked a minimum of seven days in advance
  • All transfers are to or from a UK airport only
  • If your flight is cancelled, delayed, or you are not on your flight, you must telephone the Transport Manager on 0044 7975 951267. We will inform the driver and you will not be charged you for this service.
