Subsidised Bus Pass: If you're under 19 as of 31 August of the year you enrol, you may be eligible for a subsidised bus pass through your Local Education Authority. Applications should be made directly to the council.
Registered vehicles can park on campus for free in designated areas. Ensure your vehicle is registered with Student Services.
We encourage students to reduce their carbon footprint by cycling. Secure bicycle sheds are available on campus. You will need to pay a deposit for a key to a bicycle shed, through our online shop. Once you have paid you can visit main reception (Student Services) and collect your key.
If you choose to cycle, please be cautious on the main road (A417) entering Hartpury as there is no direct segregated cycle path to campus all the way from Gloucester. However, you can use the National Cycle Network, route 41 and route 45 to reach the campus from Cheltenham and Gloucester. This route is a combination of segregated cycle paths, tow paths and on-road sections between Maisemore and Hartpury campus where you will share the road with vehicles may be driving 50-60 mph. If you are a confident, safe rider, you can plan your route using the links below:

Financial Assistance Grant*
Aims to support ongoing study by offering financial support towards living costs for those students experiencing financial hardship. Available to students studying any higher education course. The grant is not repayable and offers up to £2,000 support.

Veterinary Nursing Financial Assistance Grant
Aims to support ongoing study by offering financial support towards living costs of up to £3,000. Available to students studying either the BSc (Hons) Equine Veterinary Nursing or the BSc (Hons) Veterinary Nursing course. To be eligible for this grant, you must be undertaking unpaid veterinary practice-based learning for 1,800 hours in less than 52 weeks.

Study Experience Grant
Aims to support access study trips linked to a module/programme. This grant is awarded on a sliding scale up to £1,000 dependent on household income.

The loan of up to £1,000 is repayable by the students as it aims to fill a void where there is a delay in the SLC fund release. You must evidence hardship and that you applied for/are in receipt of an SLC loan (ongoing/future learning). Available to students studying any higher education course.

Disabled Students' Allowance (DSA)

The Martin Baber Award is an international work experience bursary, available to support currently enrolled Hartpury students who wish to study or work abroad within the Agricultural sector.
The purpose of the bursary is to enhance students’ knowledge and understanding, practical application and transferable skills in a global agricultural context.
The bursary supports students with travel and visa costs plus funds to cover an initial period once they have arrived at their destination. It can be used to help with:

Three Counties Agricultural Society Bursary in Memory of Joe Henson MBE
Open to students who reside in the three counties of Gloucestershire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire, studying agriculture or related subjects. The Joe Henson Bursary supports up to a maximum of three years of study, with £1,000 per annum provided each year to two students.

As a Hartpury postgraduate research or teaching assistant, you’ll join our university teaching team to support academic staff for 15 hours each week across all aspects of practice including facilitating group and one-to-one student sessions, teaching and assessment, as well as academic administration duties.
