Dan Murphy joins coaching staff at Wales Rugby on secondment for the Women's Six Nations

Gloucester Hartpury Forwards Coach and Senior Rugby Academy Manager/Head Coach at Hartpury University, Dan Murphy, has linked up with the Welsh Rugby Union women's side for the duration of the Guinness Women's Six Nations (W6N) campaign.

He'll continue in his role with Hartpury University and Gloucester Hartpury side during his spell with Wales and return following the conclusion of the tournament.

Dan has played an integral role in the Circus' three successive Premiership Women's Rugby (PWR) titles as part of former Gloucester Hartpury Head Coach, Sean Lynn's coaching staff.

Sean took up a permanent role as Head Coach of the Wales women's national side ahead of the W6N and brought in Dan in a temporary role as Defence Coach for the tournament.

Tom Radcliffe, Director of Elite Sport at Hartpury University and College said: "This is a great opportunity for Dan, and we can't wait to see him apply his coaching skills during the upcoming Guinness Women's Six Nations.  We know that he'll bring back fresh insights, techniques, and experiences that will benefit our student players and the Gloucester Hartpury team.

"His involvement at the highest level will undoubtedly enhance the learning environment and continue to raise the standard of coaching and performance here at Hartpury."
