The PTES is a higher education sector-wide survey to gain insight from taught postgraduate students – master’s, postgraduate certificate and postgraduate diploma qualifications – about their learning and teaching experience.
Specific areas examined are teaching and learning, engagement, assessment and feedback, organisation and management, and skills development. The survey also considers students’ motivations for taking their programme and – where relevant – their experience of undertaking a dissertation or major project. It was developed in consultation with the sector and robustly tested the survey across diverse disciplines, institutions and students to ensure it produces valid results.
Professor Andy Collop, Vice-Chancellor, Principal and CEO of Hartpury University and College said: “We’re absolutely delighted with these results and are extremely grateful to those students who took part and provided such important feedback. We use the feedback from students, as well as our staff and employers, to strengthen our postgraduate offering and meet the needs of industry.
“We feel that there’s never been a more exciting time to study a postgraduate degree at Hartpury University.
