The PTES is a higher education sector-wide survey to gain insight from taught postgraduate students – master’s, postgraduate certificate and postgraduate diploma qualifications – about their learning and teaching experience.
Specific areas examined are teaching and learning, engagement, assessment and feedback, organisation and management, and skills development. The survey also considers students’ motivations for taking their programme and – where relevant – their experience of undertaking a dissertation or major project. It was developed in consultation with the sector and robustly tested the survey across diverse disciplines, institutions and students to ensure it produces valid results.
Hartpury University offers undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in sport, equine, animal, agriculture and veterinary nursing subjects.
Professor Andy Collop, Vice-Chancellor, Principal and CEO of Hartpury said: “We’re delighted with these results and are very grateful to those students who took part in the Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey 2023. We continue to use a combination of these survey results alongside direct feedback from students, staff and employers, to further strengthen our postgraduate offering.
“There’s never been a more exciting time to study a postgraduate degree at Hartpury and we’re looking forward to the opening of our new University Learning Hub in the next academic year, the first new facility intended exclusively for use by our university students.
