NAF, the leading equine supplement and care product brand, will return as title sponsor for Hartpury’s Festival of Dressage (4-9 July), Showjumping Spectacular (20-23 July) and International Horse Trials (9-13 August) in what is set to be a bumper year for the institution, as it celebrates its 75th anniversary.

The Five Star brands, including Superflex, Magic and Oestress have become synonymous with improved performance and we are proud to have such well-loved brand names as prefixes to our events. This year, in addition, NAF’s newest Five Star Supplement, METAZONE, which is designed to support the natural anti-inflammatory pathways, lends its name to the CCI2*- L eventing competition with members of the NAF Team on hand at the events to share more about the benefits of this innovative product which sits in NAF’s Veterinary category.

Leading riders are expected to head to the Gloucestershire-based university and college once more, joined by Hartpury alumni, students and staff helping in volunteering roles as well as in their new careers. The events provide an ideal way for equine students to learn more about event management as well as to see world-class riders up close.

The NAF Five Star Hartpury Festival of Dressage will be the summer curtain-raiser, retaining its additional sixth day of competition for 2023. Para-dressage (CPEDI3*) will get things underway ahead of a busy CDI1*, CDI3* and Premier League timetable that runs throughout the week. The ever popular Gala Evening will see an entertaining display from Anna Ross and Elite Dressage, top and tailed by the finale of the Elite Stallions Young Horse Prix St Georges Championship and the CDI3* Grand Prix Freestyle to Music.

The NAF Five Star Hartpury Showjumping Spectacular returns to its regular July (4-9 July) weekend, after it was moved to June last year to make way for the running of the FEI Dressage and Eventing European Championships for Young Riders and Juniors 2022. There’s the usual bumper schedule of classes on offer, with the blue riband event - the 1.50m Area Trial, expected to prove most popular with spectators.

At the NAF Five Star International Hartpury Horse Trials, expect another thrilling week of sport with the return of the CCI2*-L, CCI3*-L and the CCI4*-S that will likely provide a preparation route to the Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials for many. Eric Winter returns as cross country course designer and the competition gets underway with the final qualifier in this year’s Burghley Young Event Horse series.

Eloise Chugg-Martin, UK Sponsorship and Events Manager for NAF, said: "Hartpury’s Festival of Dressage, Show jumping Spectacular and International Horse Trials are such a principal part of our events calendar. We thoroughly enjoy attending these events across multiple disciplines and are thrilled to welcome competitors new and returning, along with spectators alike to enjoy a jam packed summer of quality sport around Hartpury’s impressive venue."

Phillip Cheetham, Equine Director at Hartpury, said: “We’re all looking forward to another busy summer at Hartpury and we’re thrilled that NAF will join us as we celebrate our 75th anniversary at the same time.

“It’s a continued privilege to be aligned with a brand that’s so well known and trusted by leading riders in many disciplines, as well as sharing our passion for clean sport.

“We’d like to thank NAF for their ongoing support, and we look forward to welcoming competitors and their connections, sponsors, spectators and students for our three summer classics. It’s going to be fantastic!”
