Scott Millar, a former Hartpury agriculture student, has been appointed as Customer Success Manager for Trinity AgTech. Trinity has recently become a member of Hartpury’s Agri-Tech Centre, meaning that Scott makes a welcome return to the Gloucestershire campus in a professional capacity.
Scott graduated from Hartpury in 2005 after topping up his HND to receive BSc (Hons) Agriculture and Land Management. For a decade, he’s worked in business development and will now support Trinity’s livestock and dairy customers in his new role.
Speaking about his new role and reflecting on a return to Hartpury, he said: “I’m really looking forward to being part of the Trinity team who are forward-thinking and highly respected.
“It’s great to be able to come back to Hartpury and see how the campus and facilities have developed, and to have the opportunity to provide information and experience back to the students who are in the same position I was all those years ago.”
Investment in agriculture facilities has been part of a 10-year smart farming vision. Over the summer, the launch of the £2 million Tech Box Park marked completion of the second phase, following on from the opening of the £2 million Agri-Tech Centre in 2019.
Hartpury’s Agri-Tech Centre launched its new commercial membership package earlier this year, offering an unparalleled resource and support to innovative tech companies nationwide. The Agri-Tech Centre is also a fantastic learning facility for current students, providing access to commercially proven technology to improve profitability, welfare and sustainability in livestock farming.

Scott has built a wealth of expertise in the agri-tech area, and I know he’ll be a great asset to Trinity AgTech as they work with farmers looking to build business resilience, profitability, and sustainability.
“I’m looking forward to working with Scott and the Trinity team in the weeks, months and years to come.”
Scott’s former course has now evolved to be the BSc (Hons) Agriculture, also available with a specialism in Crop Production, International or Livestock Production.
Earlier this year, Hartpury University unveiled its first official postgraduate degree in agriculture – the MSc Applied Agricultural Sciences. A new Professional Certificate of Higher Education Agricultural Enterprise Management has also been welcomed by industry, intended to provide a pathway for those in employment to upskill within a management role.
Hartpury University was ranked 1st in the South West and 6th in the UK for Teaching Quality in The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2023 – also voted top in the UK for lecturers and teaching quality in the Whatuni Student Choice Awards 2022 – with 97% of former students in employment, further study or purposeful activity within 15 months (Graduate Outcomes Survey 2022).
