Hartpury College, Gloucestershire College and South Gloucestershire and Stroud College will join local employers at a special careers event, designed to highlight available jobs and training opportunities in growing industries throughout the region.
The Gloucestershire Skills Expo will take place on 16 February from 3.00 pm – 7.00 pm, at Gloucester Guildhall.
Attendees will be able to meet local businesses as well as careers teams from the three colleges to find out more about available roles, career pathways, qualifications and skills.
It’s the first time the three local further education colleges have teamed up to secure a future talent pipeline for the many job opportunities available within the county.
The event will cater for school leavers looking to progress into education or employment, but also those of all ages looking to re-train, upskill or change career. The inclusion of local employers will provide an exclusive opportunity for attendees to network and make all-important connections.
Whether attendees have a career in mind or are open minded to the many opportunities available, college teams will be on hand to provide insight into a range of inspirational courses and programmes that will provide the skills and knowledge for a particular career. It is hoped that the expo will go some way to address the skills gap currently faced by employers.
Those interested in attending this event can do so via the Eventbrite registration form. Advance registration is advised although attendees can turn up on the day.
