Stuart Emmerson, Director of Business Development at Hartpury University and Hartpury College, joined around 300 guests on Thursday 9 September to present an award at the inaugural SoGlos Gloucestershire Business Awards.
Hartpury sponsored the Most Innovative Business of the Year category at the event, staged in style at Weston Aviation’s hangar at Gloucestershire Airport. The award was won by BioStart Security, part of Protrack Solutions. The company specialises in market-leading innovative telematics, fleet management and security software solutions for a range of businesses.
“We are thrilled for BioStart Security and the Protrack Solutions team,” said Stuart Emmerson.
“Protrack is a great example of a dynamic, innovative and family-run business based here in Gloucester, they are truly deserving of this recognition and we wish them all the best in the months and years to come.
“We would also like to congratulate the SoGlos team for organising such an outstanding event that will hopefully become a regular date in the calendar. It was great to meet some of the county’s brightest and best business minds and to celebrate what Gloucestershire and the wider region contributes to innovation, commerce and entrepreneurship.”
Kevin Pope, of Gloucestershire-based BioStart Security, said: “This award could not have come at a better time. We have an important phone call tomorrow, and this will help.
“National awards are nice, but it’s the ones where you are judged by your peers that really count. This feels great.”
The finalists in this category were Hub8, The Beeswax Wrap Co., and Vericon Systems.
Across multiple categories, there were 421 nominations from 192 different businesses eventually whittled down to 17 winners. Click here to see the full list of winners.
