International Student Accommodation

For our college students in shared rooms, we offer for parents/carers to connect immediately prior to move-in day (if consent has been given to share email address).

We look to offer mediation through our Wellbeing and Residential Support teams if you experience any difficulties. If these can't be resolved, you are able to request a room move request by emailing the accommodation team. These are available between 1 November and 1 March each year. A £50 charge may be applied for a room move.

Yes, this may be possible, but isn't guaranteed. Please add the name of your friend to your application form when applying for accommodation.

All of our accommodation will have a mixture of students studying a variety of courses. We do try to place students who are studying a similar programme in shared bedrooms but this is not guaranteed.

Unfortunately not, the number of applications we get often exceeds the number of rooms available for each room type and we are therefore unable to guarantee that we can offer you your preferred option. Please see our allocation policy for more details.

College Accommodation Common Area

We encourage students to make their room their own, but ask you to ensure that you do not use any permanent fixings or damage the walls and furniture - we recommend the use of command hooks. Students should also be aware of any potential health and safety or fire hazards.

We offer enrichment activities in the college common room Heroes four evenings a week (Monday-Thursday), and on a Sunday evening. Hartpury also has an active Student Union which offers clubs and societies, as well as our Hartpury Active Programme, which offers recreational sports. Please check the Student Unions website.

As a college student, you have a 40 week contract and can stay on campus during half terms and at Easter. However, you must return home for the Christmas period as this is not included in your 40 week contract.

No, overnight guests are not permitted in College accommodation, nor are visitors who are non-residential students. The only visitors you are allowed are other residential students. Our catsbury accommodation is different and no visiting is allowed in the bedrooms, only the main common rooms of the building.

Parents/carers are only permitted to come into your bedroom/hall of residence on move-in and move-out days at the start and end of the academic year.
