Course Overview

You’ll gain a comprehensive understanding of health and safety, sustainability, biosecurity, the supply chain, ethics, learning theories,
and animal health. Expand your expertise and apply the techniques you learn to optimise the health of animals, influence positive behaviour, and promote animal welfare and conservation.

You’ll apply theory through practical sessions in our extensive animal collection. Work experience will help you broaden your experience in a real-life setting.

On completion of your T Level, you could progress onto a university related degree* or be ready to gain employment within the animal industry.

*University and programme dependent

5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above to include English and either Mathematics or a Science.

Career opportunities include:

  • Veterinary Nursing
  • Laboratory Technician
  • Research within the Animal Industry
  • Animal collection worker or technician
  • Carer or warden within charity organisations such as the RSPCA or Blue Cross and dog handler or trainer
