Career Overview

I joined Hartpury University in 2019, and am a Principal Lecturer in sports therapy and programme manager for the BSc (Hons) Sports Therapy programme.

 

I’ve previously worked at Edge Hill University as a Senior Lecturer in Sports Therapy.  I’m a Chartered Physiotherapist having qualified in 2006 from University of Birmingham and have experience working in the NHS, private practice and professional sport including football, rugby league and basketball.  I’ve worked at international sports events including London 2012 Olympics and Glasgow Commonwealth Games 2014 and with England Basketball squads in regional development, training and international tournaments.

 

I completed my Post Graduate Certificate in Higher Education in 2009, having previously completed a BSc (Hons) Sport and Exercise Science degree from Staffordshire University and then a MSc (Pre-Registration) Physiotherapy at University of Birmingham.

 

Within the educational setting, I’ve worked as external examiner at validation panels, nominated examiners for post graduate projects, external examiner for sports therapy programmes and reviewer for subject specific journals.
