Academic partnerships

We develop partnerships with educational and commercial organisations that reflect our own mission and values. This helps us to extend and enhance learning and development opportunities related to our specialisms of animals, agriculture, horses, sport and veterinary nursing.

Learn more about the organisations we work with below or read the section on Academic Partnerships from our Hartpury Quality Enhancement Framework.

University Centre Weston (UCW) offers more than 45 degrees in a range of subject areas. With a shared focus on employability and student support, they are the ideal partners to deliver two of our specialist foundation degrees. Like we do, UCW strive to produce graduates who are well-placed to enter the world of work.

Hartpury University is proud to partner with UCW to deliver the following courses on their campus in Weston-Super-Mare, Somerset:

The British Racing School (BRS) is a purpose built 120 acre facility in Newmarket providing education, training and state-of-the-art equipment for those working in or wishing to work in the horseracing industry. The BRS provides a wide range of training courses including for jockeys, racing secretaries and prospective racehorse trainers. It also has over 230 young people working in racing yards on apprenticeships and provides a residential course for those wishing to take their first step into employment in the racing industry.

The BRS has responsibility for delivering CPD training for those in the industry and Hartpury University is delighted to partner with the BRS to offer a Foundation Degree [hyperlink: Horseracing Industry Foundation Degree – British Racing School], Bachelor’s Degree and level 6 entry Bachelor’s Degree top up in the Horseracing Industry.
